FORKLIFT DRIVER MEDICAL

To The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) advises that all workplace transport operators should have an assessment for forklift operator fitness before and during their employment. The standard practice is to screen transport operators at five-yearly intervals from the age 45.

The group 2 licence is renewable five-yearly from the age 45. If the employee has both a workplace transport operator and a group 2 licence to be renewed, we can schedule both assessments within the same examination.

It is likely that the illness can affect the worker’s fitness. If an employee has been away for a short absence or absent from work for more than a month, HSE advises all workplace transport operators to have a formal medical assessment when they return to work. Under these circumstances, we will assess whether the individual is fit to operate workplace transport.

Our accredited GMC registered Doctors will assess your fitness for workplace transport. Once you have successfully passed your medical assessment, we will provide a fitness certification within 24 hours of your medical assessment.
